This is Why I Love it When Indie Bands Win Pop Awards
Hearing people bemoan about how Slim and Gaga and Bieber lost to Arcade Fire, really makes me smile. I’m an Indie Boy at heart and Arcade Fire winning the Album of the Year, the Grammy top prize is a double edge sword. Seeing pop fans fall to their knees in tears always puts a smile to my face, but the idea of an Indie band going mainstream dampens my feelings of exclusivity. By that same rationale when Muse won Rock Album on the Year, I was just as excited.
